What is Hydrodermabrasion?
Hydrodermabrasion removes dead skin cells and extracts impurities while simultaneously bathing the new skin with cleansing and hydrating serums that are specific to your skin concerns. It is soothing and refreshing with immediate results and no downtime.

Is it painful?
Hydrodermabrasion doesn’t cause pain, but you will feel light pressure and suction from the wand gliding over your skin. For the extraction part of the process, you may feel a light tugging on the skin.

Are there side effects?
Hydrodermabrasion is said to be free of complications with no downtime after the treatment. Your skin may appear a bit pink post-treatment but will quickly go away, If you have product sensitivities, you may wish to talk to the technician beforehand.

Is Hydrodermabrasion safe?
Hydrodermabrasion is safe for most skin types. It is well tolerated by most people and is non-invasive.

What are the benefits of Hydrodermabrasion?

When will I see results?

How many treatments will I need?
It depends on your skincare goals. If you want a single session before a big event or quarterly sessions to keep your skin healthy, both are fine. To improve skin over the long term or if you’re struggling with specific skin concerns, regular 4-6 week intervals will provide maximum results.

How is Hydrodermabrasion done?
There are many steps in the hydrodermabrasion treatment. First, we cleanse, then exfoliate, extract and finally hydrate.

HYDRO CONTRAINDICATIONS:​​

• Pregnancy – An increase in hormones can affect the skin during pregnancy, this can cause pigmentation. For this reason, we advise against microdermabrasion as the skin could react unexpectedly, making the condition worse. 
• Cancer – Should be in remission for at least 6 months before commencing a course of treatment. Microdermabasion stimulates blood flow or lymphatic drainage.
• Grade 4 Acne – If the skin is very congested with pustules and papules, treatment would irritate the skin and spread bacteria.
• Roaccutane – Roaccutane causes thinning of the skin; you must wait 6 months after discontinuing Roaccutane 
• Auto-Immune Disease (Crohn’s should be ok)
• Diabetes – Diabetes affects the nerves and circulation, and the skin can take much longer to heal than usual. Clients must provide written permission from their GP before treatment can be carried out.
• Impetigo 
• Rosacea 
• Minor Contraindications – affected areas will be avoided
• Eye infections e.g. Conjunctivitis, Styes/Hordelea, Cysts

What Is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a method of exfoliation that consists of using a medical-grade scalpel to gently remove the layer of dull, dead skin cells and vellus hair to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion.

Who Can Have Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is recommended for all skin types except those with active breakout and men with heavy facial hair. If you have active acne, other treatments are available that would be more beneficial, and it is necessary to wait until breakouts are healed before trying this treatment. How does a Carbon Facial work?
Carbon Facials combine Q-Switched laser technology with a special carbon cream. The carbon cream bonds to impurities such as excess oil, enlarged pores, impurities, and dead skin cells. The laser is attracted to the carbon cream and when they encounter each other, the laser shatters the carbon, taking imperfections along with it.

How many treatments are required?
You will see a visible improvement and glow after a single treatment, making Carbon Facials a popular pre-event skin treatment. For deeper, long-term outcomes, 4 treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart are recommended.

Hydrodermabrasion doesn’t cause pain, but you will feel light pressure and suction from the wand gliding over your skin. For the extraction part of the process, you may feel a light tugging on the skin.

Are there side effects?
Hydrodermabrasion is said to be free of complications with no downtime after the treatment. Your skin may appear a bit pink post-treatment but will quickly go away, If you have product sensitivities, you may wish to talk to the technician beforehand.

Is Hydrodermabrasion safe?
Hydrodermabrasion is safe for most skin types. It is well tolerated by most people and is non-invasive.

What are the benefits of Hydrodermabrasion?

How many treatments will I need?
It depends on your skincare goals. If you want a single session before a big event or quarterly sessions to keep your skin healthy, both are fine. To improve skin over the long term or if you’re struggling with specific skin concerns, regular 4-6 week intervals will provide maximum results.

How is Hydrodermabrasion done?
There are many steps in the hydrodermabrasion treatment. First, we cleanse, then exfoliate, extract and finally hydrate.

HYDRO CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Pregnancy – An increase in hormones can affect the skin during pregnancy, this can cause pigmentation. For this reason, we advise against microdermabrasion as the skin could react unexpectedly, making the condition worse. 
• Cancer – Should be in remission for at least 6 months before commencing a course of treatment. Microdermabasion stimulates blood flow or lymphatic drainage.
• Grade 4 Acne – If the skin is very congested with pustules and papules, treatment would irritate the skin and spread bacteria.
• Roaccutane – Roaccutane causes thinning of the skin; you must wait 6 months after discontinuing Roaccutane 
• Auto-Immune Disease (Crohn’s should be ok)
• Diabetes – Diabetes affects the nerves and circulation, and the skin can take much longer to heal than usual. Clients must provide written permission from their GP before treatment can be carried out.
• Impetigo 
• Rosacea 
• Minor Contraindications – affected areas will be avoided
• Eye infections e.g. Conjunctivitis, Styes/Hordelea, Cysts
